Holiday Started and Ended

Lucas had his school holidays last month and he started his new school yesterday.
During his holidays, we did not plan much activities for him and surprisingly the days passed rather quickly. He spent his morning playing with Chloe with some painting and pasting, afternoon watching TV, later afternoon outdoor with his bicycles, playground and trampoline at neighbour's place, night with some reading before going to bed. On one of the weekends, we took the kids to Kuantan, the nearest decent beach around. Lucas loved it so much that he kept asking to go to Kuantan again. He loved the kiddy pool where there were other kids as well. He also loved the pool bar - once he insisted on having a drink at the pool bar. When I asked him what he wanted to drink, he replied 'let me sit down at the water stool first. Then I decide what I want to drink' - like an adult, he savoured his strawberry smoothies in the pool bar.

Meanwhile, Chloe enjoyed the sea. She loved it when the waves splashed on her. She picked up anything she can get from the sea. Once she picked up baby fish which Dominic had to release to the sea. Both kids loved the sand.

For the parents, it was tiring. Both Dominic and I were on 24 hours duty. We fed them, bathed them, entertained them, and can't go to sleep until they were asleep. It was harder for them to entertain themselves as there is no familiar place and toys like at home. With the limited space in the hotel room, it was a challenge trying to contain the energy which they had loads.

All in all, it was fun time for the kids and it is all that matters.
