Reading
My little boy is enjoying reading, or more accurately had me read to him. He likes non-lengthy and colourful books. The books he has are a bit boring now for him. Has been reading the same books for months. So, I asked some experienced moms for recommendation and bought him a few books today. This book called 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' by Eric Carle is quite good. Lucas actually listen to the whole book in a sitting! That is a first.

It's 3:15am, Oct. 5, here in Los Angeles, CA. I'm thinking it is the 6th now and Lucas' Second Birthday, so I wanted to be the first to say Happy Birthday from USA! I haven't read posts since school started and when I saw all the posts that I have missed on Lucas, I saw how big he's gotten and he no longer has a baby face. He seems to have lost his baby fat on his face....Sorry! I know, it's so sad that they grow so fast and start looking like children, rather than babies :( Anyway, he is so handsome.
I loved reading everything. Wow! Grandma's house looks like paradise! It's so nice how he can play with sand and do all that gardening.
Just wanted to say Hello and wish Lucas the best on his 2 year old birthday!
More recommendations on books-
Sorry I don't remember authors on the top of my head at 3am:
I'll love you forever
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
Goodnight Moon
All Dr. Seuss Books:)
What's funny about Isis, is that she has so many good books, but always goes back to the same ones that bore me, like "1000 words" book or all her little color and shapes books. While I want to sit down and read a nice fiction storybook to practice my acting skills, she wants these non fiction educational books that bore me because I teach all day!
Every night at bed time, she loves to read her birthday books(First Birthday and 2nd birthday)that I had made through "Shutterfly"
After the birthday books, we get into story telling, no books, just imagination.....She absolutely loves "The Three Bears" . She says, "Story mommy, little teddy bears" and then she requests names of her friends and cousins to be included in the story. I try to go to "The 3 little pigs" or "Billy Goat Gruff" but she insists on the "3 Bears" so I tell different versions of it EVERY NIGHT!
So I also recommend story telling :)
