Why Didn't You Answer Me?

We had this conversation at bedtime tonight.

Chloe: Mom, I was calling you so many times from upstairs just now. Why didn't you answer me huh?
Me: I was busy eating my dinner. Why did you call me so many times?
Chloe: I wanted to watch Peppa Pig but kor kor won't let me watch. He wants to watch his Ninja Warrior. Why didn't you answer me when I was calling you huh?
Me: I was busy.
Lucas: Chloe, it is very rude to say huh
Chloe: No, it is not rude.
Me: Huh is not a proper English word.
Lucas: Chloe, you are not speaking proper English.

My kids....
Tomorrow is the last day of school for term 2. They will have 2 weeks Easter break. We will be going to Hard Rock Hotel in Penang (where else) next weekend. Next week onwards is going to be challenging. My maid of 2 year is leaving us next weekend. I will be getting a temporary maid until the new maid arrives, hopefully end of April. With the maid(s), I have to train her all over again and hopefully things work out well. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed. That will also mean, we will not leave the kids alone with the maid for the coming few months. I have to work from home more, Dominic has to travel less and no more 'me' time. Ah...juggling work and kids.

What Have We Been Up To?

Time flies....you hear this all the time.
We have some changes and seems to settle down quite well....
Dominic is on a project in town and now lives in a service apartment in town and comes back during weekends only. Because he is not around, I have to make some changes since I can't do it all...
On the days I have to go to office, Lucas comes back from school in a van (transporter). I can't pick him up anymore...
I stopped Chloe from here current playschool after this term which ends in end May. My original plan is to keep her there until term 3, because I can't send her home everyday anymore, so I stopped her. She will be at home for 2 months until Lucas has her term break starting end July and hopefully they both will go to the same school in September.
I dropped both kids to school in the morning, then go to work. I arrive office at 9am if the traffic is good and 9.30 to 10am if traffic is bad. Then at 11.30am I have to leave office to send Chloe home from school and will only be back to office at 1.30pm. Because I spend quite some time on the road in the morning, I have to catch up my work at night, after the kids go to bed. I can clock up to 150km on my car in a single day, but it is not the mileage that's bothering me. It is the traffic.
Hence, I have to stopped Chloe from her playschool. I felt bad as she enjoys her school...sigh...Oh well....only 2 months, then Lucas will be on his 6 weeks holiday and they can play until their hearts contents.

We went and came back from Germany.....

Stressed

This week has been a mad week. There are just too much going on to swallow. First, I am down with sore throat since last week and still is. Secondly, the baby sitter who has been working for me for 13 months 'suddenly' decided to go back to Philippines and gave me one week notice to look for alternatives. Thirdly, my house renovation is taking some of my time to chase after contractors to finish up the work. Fourthly, Dominic is only home on weekends and this doesn't help either. Fifthly, I will be away for about 10 days for work next week and need to plan and pack. Need to plan and pack for my trip (and the work to finish before the trip, and work for the workshop) and pack for my boss, Lucas. Will be sending him to my parent's while I am away. Sixthly, Lucas is not warm up to the new part time baby sitter yet, and is very clingy to me. Seventh, Lucas just turned two and he is definitely living up to the term 'terrible two'! The list can go on and on....
Keeping my finger crossed that sanity will prevail soon.
