Chloe's 4th Birthday Promises

Chloe, not sure if she is aware of what she is doing, has been making promises on things she will do when she turns 4. She said she will:
1. pooh in the toilet (she is doing her big business on her diaper now).
2. do away with her soft blue handkie (her comfort toy for bedtime).
3. buckle herself when she is on her car seat

I was trying to get her to promise to sleep on her own, and she firmly replied, 'but I am still so small!'
Lucas has been keeping track of her promises and said will remind her of her promises when she is 4.
Well, it is only 4 months away.

Hair Dropping

There is a saying that the mother's hair will drop once the baby can laugh.
Maybe there is some truth....
Chloe can laugh out loud and spontaneously.....and my hair is everywhere on the floor!

Chloe Sleeping on Stomach

Chloe never like to be on her stomach. She cries as though she has been tortured each time we tried to put her on her stomach. This morning, she was crying - having difficulty falling asleep. Dominic said since she is crying we might as well put her on her stomach. We think she needed more time on her stomach to feel more comfortable and eventually learn how to crawl. So, there he was putting her on her stomach and off I went for my shower. When I came out from the shower, it was all quiet. I thought she was asleep. She was asleep indeed but on her stomach.

She must have been so tired that she just knocked off. Now, I have to sit here and watch her to make sure her nose and mouth are not blocked. Let's see if she is more comfortable on her stomach after this episode.

Chloe is 3 months old

I have been in such a laid back mood that I lost track of Chloe's development. She dislikes to be on her stomach. When I put her on her stomach, she doesn't know how to position her head. Most of the time, I have to turn her head for her. She starts wailing after less than 2 mins. Wonder how is she going to crawl. However, she tries to sit up. She will try to lift her head when I carry her. Lucas on the other hand was an expert lying on his stomach when he was at Chloe's age. He slept on this stomach and can lift his head 45 degree on his second month.

Not much going on with Chloe's hair. Her newborn hair has neither dropped nor grow much longer. So, she still has her spiky hair and bald forehead. Lucas was almost bald when he was 3 months old.

Chloe is going to be chatty like her brother. She tries to talk by making the 'urr' and 'ahh' sound. She enjoys people talking to her and generous with her smile. Once in a while, she will laugh out loud.

She likes to eat her hand and drools a lot. Sometimes she choke on her own saliva. Her mitten is usually wet. Can't remembered that Lucas did any of these.

They both develop on their own pace.

Chloe is 2 months old

Chloe is 2 months old today - sometimes it feels like a long time (when she is fussing) and sometimes it feels like she was only born yesterday (when she is in a good mood).
For 2 months, she weighs 4.8 kg and her length is 59cm. Basically, she is not fat but tall. Oh well....I think all these patterns changed all the time as she grows..
Lucas 'ballooned' when he was 3 months old but he is such a skinny boy now.

At 2 months, Chloe can smile back. She knows how to turn her head to the noise or sound such as our voices or the rattle. Her eating habit is so inconsistent. It can varies from 1 1/2 hr to 3 hr per feed. I tried to keep to every 3 hours but sometimes she started wailing for food after 1 1/2 hour. One good thing is she sleeps well at night. If she was last fed at 9pm, she can last until 5am the next day. If she was last feed at 11pm, she last until 7am the next day - almost sleeping through the night. Hmm....I am planning to put her on her own room as soon as she is sleeping through. Right now, both she and Lucas are sleeping in my room. When Lucas made noise, Chloe will wake up. When Chloe cried, Lucas will wake up. I am perpetually putting each of them to sleep.
